2.    Is there any ability grouping or tracking? If so, please describe how it affects your class.

5. What do you know about what your students know, what can they do, and what are they learning to do? What do you know about your students’ everyday experiences, cultural backgrounds and practices, and interests?
My EL students I see them improving daily. Whether it's small adjustments with spelling and sounding out words while reading. With my Autistic student I get to know his strengths and weaknesses better each day. he helps others with Math and I've encouraged it because in turn this helps with his social skills.  My ADD/dyslexic student has been getting better when we allow him to listen to books via an audio site, this helps with distraction and lack of effort.

6. Describe one teaching event. What best practices in teaching were used?
A teaching event i enjoy weekly is with my EL students and we talk about the spelling words for the week and we draw pictures of the word as well as do pyramid "stacked" spelling, we sound out the words and practice pronunciation.  I enjoy this because by the end of the week i see how they have improved, who has studied who hasn't and who is applying these words in writing and when reading.
